Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for a long time. Alexandra is known for the roles she played on Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her career in showbiz at a young age. She played lead roles in dramas on television as young as 16 years old. She was praised for her portrayal in Der Tunnel. This paved the way to other memorable performances, like Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress. Alexandra has been engaged in numerous important projects both locally as well as internationally. One of these is the British biographical film Control, the Greek movie The Dust of Time, as well as the French historical miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she was an active member of jury for the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
