Aisling Bea

Aisling B a was born on 16 March 1984. She was born in Kildare Ireland. Bea was on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, more popularly known as the stage name Aisling Bea (born March 16, 1984), is an Irish actress, writer and stand-up comic. Bea's professional career started in 2011 as a comedian following her appearance in a few roles in Irish and British television shows beginning in the year 2009. In 2012, she began to appear regularly on sketches and sitcoms. In the wake of her success during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was invited to appear on a number of panel shows. She was captain of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team from 2016 to 2017 and was an ongoing contestant on its spinoff show, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead is her younger sister. She is only the second ever female to be a winner of the show So You Think You're Funny. Bea was given to her to honor her father. Aisling Claiodhnadh, born 16 March 1984 from Kildare, County Kildare. The father of Bea was Brian was a vet for horses who committed suicide at three-years-old. She did not learn the cause for her father's death until she was 13 years old. The stage name she chose was Bea in honor of her father who passed away. Bea also published a 2017 article in The Guardian on her family's suicide story. Bea as well as her sister Sinead were taken care of by their maternal grandmother Helen (nee Moloney) a secondary school teacher and jockey trainer, as well as a an ex-professional jockey. Their parents were both obsessed with racing and horses. Bea started out as an official guide for tourists for the Irish National Stud. But she quickly realized that her true passion was performing and not racing.
